This project is focused on outreach. Our central goal is the promotion of open and accessible dissemination of scientific knowledge. We interpret this knowledge with a “Two-Eyed Seeing” (Etuaptmumk) approach.

The project started with a documentary, Beyond the Shell, produced in the Advanced Laboratory of Visual Anthropology. The film focuses on the ecology and culture of a scarce marine resource, red abalone (Haliotis rufescens).
